Youth and Young Adults Forum on the 8th Principle

Saturday, August 7, 11 am PT | 12 pm MT | 1 pm CT | 2 pm ET | 3 pm AT (2 hrs)

Young Unitarian Universalists in Canada ages 14-35 are invited to attend this forum to discuss the 8th Principle and the process for adopting it in Canada. We will respond to the discussion package (“The 8th Principle Process: Next Steps”) shared with congregations in June, and split into break-out rooms for race and age-based caucusing. Adults who support youth and YA programming (youth advisors and religious educators) are welcome to attend as observers. There is no cost.

Register via Zoom

The week prior, Sunday, August 1, all are encouraged to attend the Unitarian Church of Montreal’s service led by two young adults, Camellia Jahanshahi (who is also the Coordinator for Rising Together, a drop-in for youth and YAs of colour), and Caite Clarke. Service info:

“Growing Edges: Embracing the 8th Principle”, 10:30-11:30 am ET
Join us this Sunday at UCM for a service that brings us together in understanding the 8th principle and exploring the history of how expanding our faith principles has allowed us to grow together.
