Keynote Speaker: Rev. Peter C. Boullata
Topic: “Envisioning the Emergent Future.” Times are changing quickly, with attendance and membership in faith communities dropping, and many people responding “none” when asked to which religion they adhere. But those “nones” and others in our rapidly evolving world have not abandoned spirituality or the eternal moral and spiritual questions. In what ways can Unitarian Universalism engage the religious liberals of today and tomorrow? Can we see where we’ll be in five years? fifteen? Fifty?
Peter Boullata is a Ph.D. student in psychotherapy and spiritual care at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. He is the development minister with the Unitarian Congregation of Guelph and a psychotherapy intern with Shalom Counselling Services.
