Understanding the Canadian Unitarian Universalist Ecosystem and Our Place in It
Saturday, March 21, 2026 – 12:00 PM Pacific | 1:00 PM Mountain | 2:00 PM Central | 3:00 PM Eastern | 4:00 PM Atlantic
What is this “Canadian Unitarian Universalist Ecosystem”? Where do we fit in, both as communities and as individuals? And how might the ecosystem evolve to remain nurturing and sustaining? This interactive gathering will bring together UUs from across Canada to explore how our congregations, leaders, and organizations connect and support one another.
Participants will reflect on questions such as:
-
- What makes up the Canadian UU ecosystem?
- Where do congregations and individuals fit within it?
- How can these connections continue to support our communities into the future?
Come to this engaging interactive session on March 21st and proclaim your place in the Canadian UU Ecosystem! Join in the discussion about how the ecosystem is evolving whether we like it or not, and how we are asking fundamental questions such as “What is Canadian Unitarian Universalism anyway?”All are welcome to attend and share their perspectives.
*eNews editors’ note: The Ecosystem Project is a collaborative effort supported by UU Ministers of Canada, Religious Educators, CUC Board, and CUC Staff and took flight in early 2025. The project intends to help Canadian UUs experience ourselves as an interconnected learning community and aims to build connections, support innovation, and help us meet the needs of human and more-than-human beings in our rapidly changing world. Volunteers are made up of lay leaders and religious professionals.
