Dismantling Barriers: Positionality and Economics
Thursday, April 23, 2026 – 4:00 pm PT | 5:00 pm MT | 6:00 pm CT | 7:00 pm ET | 8:00 pm AT | 8:30 pm NT (90 minutes)

Join us on April 23, 2026 at 7pm ET on Zoom for an introductory conversation on economic solidarity, with a particular focus on positionality.
What does that mean? It means exploring how our political and social identities interact and shape our experiences and understanding of money. What do our histories teach us about how we deal with money? How do our identities inform our money making decisions and practices? And what can we do to align our spending practices with our solidarity values?
This is rich topic is just one of a broader narrative that the CUC will be exploring in 2026 as we start to unpack economic solidarity. A short toolkit will accompany this work, a more extensive curriculum will be released later in the year to support deeper engagement.
Come join us as we take these first steps toward better understanding our personal and communal relationships with money.
