Helen has worked in non-profit organizations for more than 20  years, with a focus on community development, advocacy and  communications. She has a degree in Journalism, a major asset in her work as an environmental campaigner and anti-poverty advocate. She worked with faith communities in the Toronto area for Faith & the Common  Good. Her work helped inspire Neighbourhood Unitarian Universalist  Congregation, where she has been an active member for four years, in east Toronto to install solar panels.. She has worked towards the Welcoming Congregation designation, been a mentor in the Coming of Age program and helped out as a Lifespan Learning volunteer.

“I am strongly committed to making the world a better place, and in the process, ensuring everyone has a voice.  I enjoy working together with others to build community and to inspire people to do new things. I am an enthusiastic member of the Unicamp Ontario community and a dedicated  cyclist. I look forward to helping strengthen the Unitarian Universalist community in the Central Region.”
