Volunteer Management

Our congregations depend on members and others voluntarily offering their gifts of time and talent. Here are some
resources that you may find useful:

Charity Village has a lot of basic information related to the not-for-profit sector.  Since the principles of good human resource management apply to volunteer management as well, this part of their site will be of use.  http://www.charityvillage.com/cv/ires/manres.asp

Susan Ellis is a well known American authority on volunteer management.  Her website has lots to offer. http://www.energizeinc.com/

If you are looking for hard copy resources, consider Linda Graff's work.  She is a Canadian and former Executive Director of Volunteer Hamilton.  http://www.lindagraff.ca/index.html

Imagine Canada's site http://www.imaginecanada.ca/  is a wealth of information about the sector in general and has the following valuable links to:

Volunteer Canada also has lots of tools and resources on volunteerism.
