Susan Ruttan

Board Member

Susan Ruttan is a retired newspaper reporter, editor, and columnist living in Edmonton. She worked at the Kingston Whig-Standard, Victoria Times, Winnipeg Tribune, Calgary Herald, and Edmonton Journal before taking early retirement in 2008.

Susan joined the Unitarian Church of Edmonton (UCE) in 2001 and has been very active in the congregation. She has twice been board president and twice board treasurer, a position she currently holds. She does a variety of other things in the congregation, such as handling publicity for the 2014 Western Regional Fall Gathering. She was the 2012 recipient of the congregation’s W.H. Alexander Award, given each year to a member who has done exceptional volunteer service for the church.

Susan has attended several ACMs and currently sits on the CUC Nominating Committee. She is also president of her neighbourhood community league and sings in the UCE choir.
