Rev. Debra Faulk

Minister Observer to the Board: Debra, a lifelong Unitarian, was born in Calgary and raised in Montreal. As a single parent living on Vancouver Island, she raised two children, completed two undergraduate degrees, served as Director of Religious Education, Lay Chaplain, on the Board of Trustees (1st Victoria) and congregational facilitator (Comox Valley). To fulfill credentialing requirement as a Unitarian Universalist minister she moved to Vancouver completed a Masters Degree at Vancouver School of Theology and pastoral training at Vancouver General Hospital. During this time, she served as Student Minister with the South Fraser Unitarian Congregation. Her internship was with First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa and they chose to ordain her in May 2006. She was parish minister with the Don Heights Congregation before being called to serve the Calgary Unitarian Church in August, 2010.

Debra has a passion for community building/organizing and serves on the Executive of the Metro Alliance for the Common Good (Calgary) with a focus on implementing Calgary’s Poverty Reduction initiative “Enough for All”. She enjoys gardening inside and out. And LOVES her five grandchildren who all live on the west coast.

Debra has served the UUMOC Exec as VP, President, past President and now looks forward to being the Minister Observer to the CUC Board.
