Kristina was born in St. Louis, MO, and raised in the US Midwest in the Presbyterian church. She immigrated to Canada in 1972. After several years as a full-time homemaker and mother in Victoria, BC, Kristina went back to school, earned an MBA in Finance, and had a 30-year career with the Provincial Government of BC. After some years without a church affiliation, she joined the First Unitarian Church of Victoria in 1992, after being asked by a friend to help with the music one Sunday, and has been involved in a number of ways since that time. She has been a member of the church’s Board of Directors twice, acted as Treasurer for three years, and is currently chair of the Finance Committee. The fun part is her involvement with the church’s music program: she is the (unpaid) Assistant Choir Director, singing in the Chalice Choir and conducting the Women’s Choir.
Kristina has been a member of the CUC Board for three years and has filled the post of Treasurer for two of those years. She enjoys working with other Unitarian Universalists across Canada, and feels enriched by the many opportunities to learn about others’ perspectives while charting the way forward together.
