Goldmine Leadership School

What: Goldmine is an intensive seven day program designed specifically for youth and led by youth, that offers a series of workshops on UU identity and history, worship, and leadership & communication skills all in the context of an intentional community.

Cost:

$375 for the first youth from a congregation

As with Canadian UU Leadership (CUUL) School, congregations are encouraged to support half of their youth’s registration fees in recognition of the valuable skills and experience these youth will bring back.
*subsidies are also available – please see cuc.ca/subsidies for more information

For Who:

Students – Goldmine is for any youth ages 14 – 20 who would like to gain the confidence and competence to put their faith in action, to take a more meaningful role in the life of their youth group or congregation, their region and their wider community.

Staff – We are looking for youth or young adults who are “Goldmine grads” (from 2010 or prior) who wish to put the skills and experience they’ve gained to work, to give back to a new cohort of potential leaders. We are also looking for adults who have experience with youth ministry and are looking for an opportunity to deepen and build on that experience.
