Kristina had a nine-year career as a homemaker and mother after college, then earned a Masters in Business Administration with a major in Finance in 1980. Her second career was in the provincial government of B.C., working in financial analysis, capital investment and regulatory legislation. In the later part of her time with the province, she represented B.C. on several cross-Canada committees concerning technical safety and interprovincial trade as the Executive Director of Safety Policy and Research. She retired early, and in addition to her roles at the First Unitarian Church of Victoria became involved with the administration of several other volunteer organizations.

She is currently involved with a community choir and a summer music camp. She has attended the summer Leadership School at Elliott in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest Regional meeting in Victoria, at around the time that the CUC separated from the UUA, which she supported. She has attended the CUC ACMs in Thunder Bay in 2009 and Victoria in 2010. She has been extensively involved with the music program in her church and the UU Musicians Network conferences. In addition to her musical involvement she served on the Board of Trustees in the mid-1990s, has been church Treasurer for three years, and recently helped reorganize her church’s committee structure.

Kristina hopes to support the continuing evolution of the CUC into an effective nation-wide organization supporting our faith tradition and to help communicate with Unitarian congregations on Vancouver Island.
