Regions and Congregations

Regional Information(west to east): 

British Columbia Region

  • Run by the BC YAC (Youth Adult Committee)
  • Includes all congregations in BC
  • Often runs conferences with Pacific North West District in the US
  • Runs a regional conference in the fall and one in the spring
  • E-list: cuc-bc-youth-ministry@yahoogroups.com  - A regional email discussion group for youth and allies in the region; used partly to plan and share information about the youth and multigenerational events at the Regional Fall Gatherings

Western Region

  • Run by the RRYSC (Radical Religious Youth Steering Committee)
  • Includes all congregations from Alberta to Thunder Bay Ontario
  • Runs a regional conference in the fall and one in the Spring
  • Sometimes has a newsletter called the Coffee Bean; most recent issue: December 2003
  • Has a new website (http://www.geocities.com/westernyruu/index.html)
  • E-list: cuc-western-youth-ministry@yahoogroups.com  - A regional email discussion group for youth and allies in the region; used partly to plan and share information about the youth and multigenerational events at the Regional Fall Gatherings

QuOM (Eastern and Central Regions) 

  • Governed by the QuOM YAC (Quebec, Ontario, Maritimes Youth Adult Committee)
  • Made up of two regions: Central and Eastern
    • Central Region includes all congregations in Ontario except Thunder Bay, Kingston and Ottawa
    • Eastern Region includes all congregations in Quebec and the Atlantic  provinces, as well as Kingston and Ottawa.
  • Each region runs a regional conference in the fall, and youth regularly attend conferences in the other region
  • Youth often attend conferences in UUA St Lawrence District (New York State), and SLD youth are invited to their conferences
  • Has a website: QuOM YAC Page
